A Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers (FICB), Wale Gbalajobi has pursued professional education through the Institute as well as through the Canadian Securities Institute and Investment Funds in Canada. In addition, he holds a bachelor of arts in economics and political science from the University of Calgary. Gbalajobi balances his professional responsibilities with regular community service, including active fundraising for the United Way and past board service with Canadian aid organization Families Matter.
An award-winning banking professional, Wale Gbalajobi has built experience in numerous facets of the financial industry. Since 2003, he has served as president of Aquafinancial Consulting, where he offers a variety of cash flow strategies, encompassing alternative investments, private equity funds, loan sourcing, and strategic real estate opportunities. Previously, Wale Gbalajobi built extensive experience in management with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, where he served for more than a decade in regularly rising positions of responsibility. Also involved in CIBC’s offshore banking efforts in the Caribbean, he gathered critical insights into the unique processes of international finance.
